Created by doctors, Recorps Med draws on cognitive science to support your success.

The Recorps Med method

It all starts with a cell…

Learning effectively does not rest only on what you study, but also on how you learn it.

Research in cognitive science has highlighted the importance of 3 key points:

  • understanding
  • active recall
  • spaced repetition

These 3 points strongly influence memorisation and retention.

Start for free

A cell divides, connects, organises itself… and becomes an entire organism.

From these principles, Recorps Med has built a method and concrete tools designed for success in health studies.

Four principles backed by research

Step 1/4:Understand before memorising

When you discover a new notion, your brain tries to connect it with the knowledge you have already acquired. This prior knowledge serves as an anchor point to interpret new information, weave links between ideas and build organised knowledge in long-term memory.

Understanding alone is not enough to memorise, but it is what brings each notion to life: woven in with the others, it becomes a base that your future learning can build on.

A cell cannot survive on its own. Every new notion first needs to find its place.

Step 2/4:Memorise actively

That is the principle of retrieval practice: actively searching your memory for information rather than simply re-reading it. Each successful recall strengthens the trace: research shows that retrieval slows down forgetting and improves your ability to find the information again later.

That tissue is alive. Every time you go looking for information within it, you strengthen it.

Step 3/4:Revise at the right time

Spaced repetition consists of spreading learning out over time rather than concentrating it into a few days. By reactivating each notion at increasingly spaced intervals, you give it time to consolidate between recalls and promote its long-term retention.

Reactivated at the right time, the tissue holds on. Left aside for too long, it fades.

Step 4/4:Practise to progress

Testing yourself means mobilising your knowledge in real conditions: what you truly master answers the call, and what still needs work reveals itself. Practice is therefore not only for measuring your level before an exam: it helps you identify your mistakes and steer your next revision sessions.

By targeting its weak points and training them, the tissue improves.

Science provides the principles, Recorps Med turns them into tools

Understand. Memorise. Revise. Practise.
